How would you handle a very giving 5 year old?

So, I'm 7 months pregnant with my 2nd child. My 5 year old lil boy keeps bringing me stuff for the baby (his toys, books, clothes etc) I think he is being so sweet and don't want to discourage his giving attitude but it's gotten a little out of hand. I mean, he is giving a ton of stuff to me "for the baby". Should I just go with it and discreetly put things back in his room OR explain to him that the baby doesn't need any more of his stuff. With the first option, I'm afraid he will know-he will find it in his room and say "hey, that was for the baby". I've never done this before so I'm just looking for a little wisdom here...Thanks so much!
