My daughter flunked the science portion of her state-wide proficiency test. Help?

I'm willing to drill her in science this summer. However, I have absolutely no idea what to teach her. Frankly, I don't want to fool with her teachers or the board of education. It is exceedingly difficult to communicate with these people at times. Basically, I was hoping to find a science workbook for sixth graders that covers all the essentials. Do you know of such a product?
